Rep. Evans supports Flint, MI along with Calumet City Clerk, Mayor, Treasurer and Figgs Foundation

Calumet City, IL- State Representative joined Calumet City in the support of helping Flint, MI in their current water crisis. Calumet City Clerk and Founder of the Figgs foundation began a pledge to help all of the residents of Flint, MI by sending them gallons of distilled water. Along with Clerk Figgs, Calumet City Mayor Michelle Markiewicz Qualkinbush , Calumet City Treasurer Gerry Tarka, Doris O’Banner, and Odelson & Sterk also sponsored the pledge.



For the next month they will be accepting cases of water, gallons of distilled water and monetary donations for the people of Flint, MI. Drop offs:



Rep. Evans said “The quality of life is important to all of us. We must help those in need when an unfortunate crisis such as this to occur, it is still shocking to hear about this preventable situation”. As a public official, we must come together and work together so that nothing like this happens again, said Rep. Evans.
