Job Purpose:

This position evaluates foreign academic credentials to verify authenticity, determine North American (US and Canada) academic equivalency and program admissibility.

Additionally, provides guidance, advice and assistance (through training and documentation) regarding foreign academic credentials and localized entry requirements to Admissions management and partner institution staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Credential evaluation

Evaluate international undergraduate and graduate student transcripts or other academic credentials

Conduct thorough research and assessment as required, provide clear, consistent analysis regarding program eligibility

Produce credential evaluation reports verifying authenticity of academic credentials as well as identifying the US degree, length of study and GPA equivalency

Evaluate academic credentials for transfer course work eligibility per university specific policies and guidelines

Training and Documentation

In partnership with university staff, manage the review and development of Localized Entry Requirements

Manage the development of credential evaluation training materials and training implementation for admissions staff

Maintain and support development of internal resource library

Demonstrate commitment to continual development and research of credential evaluation methodologies

Provide regular updates on current industry standards, trends and/or education policy changes to the Study Group admissions team and university staff

Additional Responsibilities

Attend weekly admissions team meetings and other meetings, as required

Proactively seek and maintain accurate product knowledge of all Center and University programs

Perform other duties relevant to the effectiveness of the team as directed


Bachelor’s degree

Minimum 5 years of similar experience at credential evaluation agency or higher education institute

Proven experience and understanding of US and international education systems in Asia, Europe and Africa

Experience working in higher education admissions, registration or advising

Experience developing and evaluating policies and procedures

Coaching or training experience preferred

Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, enthusiastic and self-motivated

Excellent customer service skills

Operations and process driven, ability to handle fluid and agile systems

Strong written and oral communication skills

Ability to conduct independent research and report on findings

Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions
