We are currently seeking an inquisitive, motivated, organized, and flexible teammate to join our Property Operations team as an Operations Analyst.

Under the direction of the Director, Property Operations, the Operations Analyst will perform a full range quantitative and qualitative data analysis using a variety of systems to evaluate the effectiveness of our operational programs.

From this data, this person will draw conclusions and present those to management.

This person will work with the Director of Property Operations to implement found opportunities and address issues.

The Operations Analyst will be expected to regularly collaborate with property management leaders, corporate teams, program managers and other analysts.

As an Operations Analyst you will be a part of a hardworking and fun team of fifteen other individuals who collectively manage $190MM in company expenses and $80MM in ancillary revenue.

Our team supports programs across all business segments from operations to new construction to renovation and capital expenditures.

As this position grows there will be opportunity to manage some of the other 55+ expense and income categories that we consult on for the business.

What you’ll do:
Broadly learn about many of the 55+ categories we manage and be able to speak to opportunities and challenges in these areas.

Categories include things such as appliances, maintenance repair and operating equipment, janitorial services, flooring, etc.

Collaborate with category managers and analysts to fully understand the programs they manage.

Perform detailed monthly analysis of revenue and expenses and other key metrics used to evaluate these programs in Equity’s portfolio of approximately 300 communities and 78,000 apartment homes.

Provide quality customer service to internal business partners, such as category managers and other analysts, while addressing opportunities such as vendor data issues, property compliance variances, etc.

Develop and maintain databases and trackers of key information used to manage these programs including contract terms, costs, risks, key issues, facility information, etc.

Requirements & Previous Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required preferably in business, economics, or IT.

2-3 years previous work experience in a professional environment is preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to speak and write in a clear and articulate manner.

Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel, plus familiarity with other Microsoft Office programs and
Google applications.
