Job Description

The Outreach Specialist is primarily responsible for deepening customer awareness of and participation in the program suite including identifying and developing relationships with community-based partner organizations, groups, networks and directly organizing and attending meetings and events.

In this role coordinates initiatives designed to promote the organization and its services to the community. Administers organizational programs aimed at addressing the needs of the surrounding area.

Develops relationships with community leaders and serves as the organization's liaison with various constituents.

You will also be working with others who are passionate about energy efficiency and making a positive impact on the industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify and develop relationships with community-based partner organizations, groups, networks across program territory

Create and staff direct-to-customers outreach opportunities including meetings of varied size and scope, presentations, and events

Assist program management and Marketing/Creative team in development of communication materials for assigned programs.

These may include case studies, invitations, program descriptions, and presentations

Collaborate with local partner organizations to share program updates and cross-promote resources

Assist Marketing team as directed with participation in larger trade show and seminar events

Manage event coordination from initiation to follow-up including tracking promotion, RSVP's, securing venues, coordinating room preparation, and food service

Track results of outreach efforts in Salesforce and report these to management

Create and modify documents using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and uploading to SharePoint

Education and Experience

4-year college degree or equivalent experience
Three years of previous experience working in an office environment

1-2 years of experience in marketing, community organizing, or event coordinating

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Strong customer service and communication skills

Must be able to handle a wide variety of work in a fast-
paced environment

Must be detail-oriented, organized, a self-starter and have an ability to prioritize workload

Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook

Strong data entry skills when entering information in tracking systems/databases

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees

Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems

Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios

Reliable transportation

Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or English and
Arabic is preferred

Job Requirements

Ability to maintain considerable levels of concentration while working under frequent time pressures and constant interruptions

Ability to work under stress and with commitment to deadlines

May manage charitable giving programs as necessary.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks.

Works under general supervision.

A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

Licenses & Certifications

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel up 50% of the time, including some evenings/weekends

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Required to sit, stand, walk; talk and hear; and ability to touch and handle tools and/or controls

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds

Noise level is typically moderate
