We are in search of an experienced clinical research professional to manage relationships and business process for matching physicians with pharmaceutical company sponsored drug studies.

Investigator Support Services provides the life sciences industry with global contact center services and research site selection services in North America. We supports 300+ medical practice and hospital clients and a wide array of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, device and CRO clinical operations teams.

We are recruiting for a full-time, office-based (Chicago - Wicker Park) project coordinator position to work with the Managing Director and the lead Project Manager. Support and manage processes (outreach, tracking, quality checks) relating to clinical trial protocol and site feasibility

Verify and evaluate client sites’ clinical capabilities and access to patients, ensuring the specific requirements of each individual clinical research opportunity are met

Maintain effective relationships and build relationships as new client sites are admitted into network; ensure contract compliance with our 300+ medical research client sites

Maintain positive relationships with pharmaceutical industry clients by continually recommending the best qualified research sites

Promote a continuous improvement culture to streamline appropriate processes for maximum efficiency and productivity


Candidates should have the following levels of education and/or experience in clinical research:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent and 3 years of experience
Master’s Degree and 2 years of experience

Additionally, candidates should have:

Experience in clinical research, including clinical trial conduct, knowledge of GCP and an understanding of the processes associated with study/project management.

The ability to self-manage and multitask under compressed deadlines across several projects, each with unique requirements.

History of success in a customer service role with demonstration of meeting customer expectations.

Effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization.

Well-developed planning, observation, analytical operational execution and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to persuade, negotiate, and moderate.
