We help over a million Jews in need each year. As a Stewardship Associate with our Estate Planning team, your ability to connect with donors and generate planned gift prospects by phone and correspondence will contribute to our future of helping even more Jews around the world.

Some key areas of focus for this role include:
Generating prospects and responding to inquiries.

Assessing planned gift likelihood based on prospect affinity and attributes.

Screening donors for wealth and planned gift likelihood.

Determining which planned giving vehicles may fit with prospect’s charitable goals, needs and financial circumstances.

Determining if leads require referral to appropriate staff members.

Updating donor database with effective contact notes and determining follow-up actions required.

Maintaining relationships with donors who have established a planned gift to The Fellowship through various means (telephone calls, birthday and holiday cards, notes of encouragement, etc.) with the goal of retaining the gift and, when appropriate, encouraging opportunities to increase gift values.

Assisting with proposal preparation, marketing analysis and other back-office administration.

Preparing weekly and monthly reports summarizing donor calls, correspondence, and marketing results.

Assisting with securing donor visits for Gift Planning Representatives and planning for regional events.

As the ideal candidate, you’ll possess these qualities and experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Non-profit Management strongly desired.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a non-profit fundraising or customer relations environment with a
strong emphasis on interpersonal relationships with donors or customers through telephone and written communications.

Strong knowledge of the Bible and Christian and Jewish beliefs.

Basic understanding of personal finance, income tax and investment fundamentals.

Basic understanding of various planned giving methods (such as wills, trusts, gift annuities, real estate, etc.) with capacity and desire to increase knowledge to intermediate level.

Comfortable interacting with varying religions traditions.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express self effectively and concisely.

Ability to effectively work independently with minimal direction.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail skills.

Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point), Internet search engines, donor databases, and gift planning proposal software.
