We're hiring a Patient Navigation Coordinator for the Support Services department for a Full-Time, Days shift at the University of Chicago Medicine in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL.

In this role, the Patient Navigation Coordinator serves as the patient and professional representative for the UCMC philanthropic community, senior management, physicians and the BSD.

The position serves as a resource for the needs and problem solving of key stakeholder patients and their families and serves as the conduit between patient and the organization.

The position also evaluates data and service improvement opportunities, acting as a senior information source and making recommendations to key stakeholders.

Patient Navigation Coordinator Education and Experience Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts such as public relations, communication, or a related field from an accredited academic body is preferred.

Must have three to five years’ experience in providing high level customer service, addressing and resolving complex issues.

Must have at least two years’ experience with office administrative management and experience coordinating special events is preferred.

Must have the ability to work with diverse staff and management groups in a complex organization.

Must have excellent communication both verbal and written skills for the purpose of communicating sensitive information.

Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.

Must have excellent customer service skills, proficient in using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches.
