Job Summary


Under the Principal, Dean of Students, and Dean of Culture, serves as a leader in the planning, execution and enforcement of Legal Prep Charter Academies (LPCA) Student Code of Conduct (SCC) during the school day, during extra-curricular activities and during other school events.


Supports the mission, vision and values of LPCA.

Fosters an environment and culture which promotes respect, responsibility and trust.

Adheres to the policies and procedures of LPCA.

Receives and implements performance feedback in a professional and timely manner.

Consistently implements and enforces the SCC at all times.

Assists students in establishing high standards of conduct.

Coordinates with other deans to ensure coverage at all school events at which coverage is necessary.

Maintains a professional, friendly, and understanding demeanor with students, parents, and staff members regardless of an outside affiliation.

Presents a clean and professional manner of dress.

Takes on other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Participates in and contributes to the Dean’s Team and School Improvement.


Supervises students on campus before, during and after school: monitors students during lunch, in the hallways between classes, and at the bus stop after school.

Instructs students in appropriate behavior according to LPCA expectations of conduct and culture.

Maintains accurate student records through school technology platforms.

Participates as needed with after school programming in collaboration with school staff and/or personnel from outside agencies.

Liaison to extracurricular activities, the student athletics program, and other programs and events including but not limited to: Law Days, Sat Prep, Field Trips, School Dances, etc.

Monitors classrooms, bathrooms, front and back hallways on a 20 minute incremental basis.

Swiftly corrects inappropriate behaviors in the hallways and lunchrooms as necessary and according to LPCA established norms.


Ability to communicate effectively to achieve assigned duties

Ability to relate to students with mutual respect while carrying out a positive and effective disciplinary program.

Models LPCA standards of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Ability to employ basic computer skills including using email, inputting data, and updating records.

Arrives to work promptly and ready to perform all job duties.
